The Fiat Panda is a city car manufactured and marketed by Fiat since 1980, currently in its third generation. It is a useful city car with plenty of storage spaces dotted around the cabin, as well as a generously-sized boot that expands easily thanks to a sliding rear bench. With decent ride comfort, sprightly handling and excellent all-round visibility, the Panda is a terrific town car.

Safety

The third-generation Panda was tested by Euro NCAP towards the end of 2011, and achieved a four-star result. One star was dropped mainly because the Panda’s electronic stability control wasn’t available on all trim levels, such as the one of the tested car. Fiat clarified on the same day that ESC would be offered on the entire Fiat Panda range in the first months of 2012. It was retested in 2018 to a 0* result as the protocol had evolved but not the car
